Meet Chuck

Welcome to the official website of Charles Strasshofer III. This is your tour guide, content creator, business owner, designer, marketing director, artist, and media coordinator: Chuck!

Chuck is a local artist and aspiring potter born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He began studying fine arts at the collegiate level in 2012, with a dedication to traditional drawing and painting. The shift to ceramics began in 2019 when Chuck began studying with Brian Sarama at the Eastern campus of Cuyahoga Community College, taking night classes and volunteering as a studio assistant in between semesters to prepare the classroom for future students. Brian fostered a strong material skill set with clay in Chuck’s repertoire and Chuck strived to utilize his training with the formal elements of Art in his ceramic work.

Chuck Stuff as a business and pottery practice is based in the Screw Factory Artist Lofts in Lakewood, OH. In 2021, Chuck began an internship with Gina Desantis Ceramics, LLC where he could experience pottery as a business practice and on a wholesale level. Her continued mentoring has been instrumental in the development of his business and in fine tuning his professional ceramic products. Chuck Stuff will have a mission to provide a variety of handmade art objects; functional ceramics, home decor, and anything else he might create. As a concept, Chuck Stuff leaves room for imagination as art blurs the lines into the daily lives of his friends, collectors, and viewers.
